You love sketching, but love is not enough to make progress?
With tons of Youtube tutorials available online, you still can't practice in a structured way.
You feel like you're stuck in the same place or going around in circles.
You are lonely on your artistic path. It's not fun sketching alone.
You have no idea if you're doing it right.
You need a trajectory, a direction. A framework that will lead to steady growth.
You want to work on your sketching techniques consistently so that you can actually become an independent and adventurous sketcher.
You want to have fun while sketching.
You need feedback on your artwork so that you stop making the same mistakes.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
We’ve heard this from so many artists, and we have found a way to help.
BRAVE BRUSHES STUDIO IS A HOME FOR ARTISTS
This is where you will find resources for regular practice and guided tutorials that build up your sketching techniques. It’s a place where you can get your questions answered.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL GET AS A MEMBER
The library is a collection of lessons on gouache, watercolors and alcohol-based markers. We add new lessons every month. The library also has an archive of Julia Henze's Skillshare classes, live workshops and PDF tutorials.
Live Sketching Sessions
This is where you get to sketch with us in real time, ask your questions as you sketch, and meet other members of Brave Brushes Studio. These monthly sessions are recorded and added to the resource library.
We have a Facebook group in which community members post their art projects, interact with each other, ask their questions and find sketching buddies. It is a great way to get support, encouragement and inspiration.
These are monthly topics for focused practice. Each month we practice an aspect of urban sketching (proportions, textures, perspective, color theory etc.) and guide you towards improved technique. These lessons are exclusive to Brave Brushes Studio.
Live Q&A Events
Face-to-face time with Julia Henze. Get feedback on your artwork and recommendations for practice. Ask any questions about techniques, sketching supplies, or anything else. Join live or watch the reply later.
