My first drawing I was truly proud of was a mushroom in gouache. Then I discovered Julia on Instagram – her colorful art immediately caught my eye. In February 2023, I joined Brave Brushes Studio, and I haven’t regretted it for a second!

There are so many lessons available now—covering materials, monthly adventures with weekly themes, and specific techniques. I’ve followed a lot of these lessons and learned far more than I ever did from random online tutorials. Julia explains everything so clearly, giving tips on improving your drawings, adding depth, and refining your work. The Facebook group is also a great place to share your work and get inspired by others. And the live Zoom sessions? They’re not only fun but also a wonderful way to connect with the friendly and supportive community.

I’ve even met some fellow members in person when Brave Brushes turned one! I’ve also attended two of Julia’s in-person workshops on watercolor techniques and urban sketching, and they were absolutely worth it. Julia is always there to help, answer questions, and guide you in the right direction.

Looking back at my drawings from three years ago, the difference is enormous. I’m developing my own style now and experimenting in my own way rather than just copying others. But there’s always more to learn, so I’m definitely sticking with Brave Brushes!

This version is concise but keeps the personal touch and enthusiasm of the original. Let me know if this works!
